What makes a good software engineer resume?
- Provide a summary of your software engineering skills and your work experience that highlights your skillset and experience and that are relevant to the job you are applying for. To help you get noticed for the job you are applying for, make sure to customize your resume to demonstrate your skills that are described in the job.
- You’ll want to provide examples of how you have used the skills mentioned in the software engineer job description. This may include a project that you worked on shows your experience using that skill.
- You’ll want to describe results-based work experience that can show the hiring manager that you have the desired experience and your ability to add value to their company.
- Include interesting unique skills such as a world language like Chinese or French. This can set you apart from other candidates they are reviewing.
- Be sure to include a link to your GitHub profile so that you can showcase your work.
