Lessons Learned from Reading the Achievement Habit

The Achievement Habit is a good read. It reminded of being in college and going to a professor’s office and having a series of good conversations with him or her.

The author introduces the idea that only a few people actually follow through with their hopes and dreams. I would got a step further and say only a few knife what their hope and dreams are. Only a few have defined what their hopes and their dreams are. If you want to reach the high levels of achievement you need clarity into what your hopes and dreams are.

Only a small percentage ever followed through on what they really wanted to do with their lives, and I hoped to do something to change that. Having talent and good ideas is only part of the equation. The next step — the harder step — is the doing, taking the responsibility for designing success in your own life.

After you gain that clarity by defining your hopes and dreams you need to begin to design your own life and that’s what this book is all about!
